Jollibee Brings a Filipino Addiction to Queens

Since the OST is ours, will just do a recap on when the songs were played during the movie.  True to their word, they did use ALL of the songs. Don’t read if you haven’t seen the movie yet. May contain major spoilers. Hehe.

 Supermassive Black Hole (Muse) = Dahil mahina ang EQ ko, I already read in a fansite that this song was played during the baseball scene. So I wasn’t really surprised when I heard it last night. Nadagdagan ang excitement sa baseball scene huh! I could be biased, since fan na din naman talaga ako ng Muse..

 Decode (Paramore) = This one I didn’t get at all. Decode happens to be the SINGLE from the Soundtrack and they used it at the super end credits. As in 2^nd song to be played during the credits. Weird. Well, malakas pa din naman talaga ang song… So text DECOD to 2728 for Smart Subscribers or TF658 to 2332 for Globe Subscribers to download the DECODE Ringback Tune. Hahaha talagang may plugging?!?

 Full Moon (The Black Ghosts) = The weakest song in the Soundtrack, IMHO.  Good thing it was used at the start of the film. Probably just to establish the somberness of Bella’s move to Forks.  They showed the total contrast of sunny Phoenix and rainy Forks. Parang pati ikaw madedepress sa mood ng lugar. Gumanda tuloy yung song. Hehe.

 Leave Out All The Rest (Linkin Park) = End credits. Well, wala naman din akong maisip na part of the movie na pwede isingit itong song.  Baka sa New Moon pwede pa. I keep on remembering the music video though… Somekinda SOLARIS/SUNSHINE/EVENT HORIZON ang drama kasi ng Linkin Park dun. Tignan niyo sa youtube, dali.

 Spotlight (Mute Math) = OMG.  WAYFARERS. PARKING LOT.  SILVER VOVLVO. EDWARD CULLEN. YUN LANG.  This was played during the most kilig (well, para sa akin) part of the movie. Where Edward and Bella arrive in school together, much to the inggit and surprise of everyone. Edward, looking very ANGAS and POGI, opens Bella’s door for her, walks, no… SWAGGERS in the parking lot, with a crooked smile on his face (of course), puts his arm around Bella, and says: “I decided as long as I was going to hell, I might as well do it thoroughly.” IBANG KLASE. Robert Pattinson WAS Edward Cullen in this scene. Hence, payvorit scene ko siya in the movie. J

6.     Go All The Way (Perry Farrell) = Played briefly when Bella and Edward entered the Monte Carlo-themed prom. Was the prom at school or at a big house? It looked like a big house. Hindi naman mukhang school…

Tremble For My Beloved (Collective Soul) = The intro was heard right after Edward stops Tyler’s van from crushing Bella.  Titigan #479.

 I Caught Myself (Paramore) = My favorite track from the OST was played during the Port Angeles scene where Angela and Jessica were trying on dresses for the prom. It was almost indistinct, and it also sounded like an acoustic version. Napapakanta ako. Now when I caught myself, I had to stop myself…

 Eyes On Fire (Blue Foundation) = Sakto ito ha. Right after Bella entered the Biology room, and Edward covered his nose, they showed an extreme close up of Edward’s HUNGRY BLACK EYES. Hence, Eyes on Fire. Hehehe. Gutom at nagdedeliryong bampira ito. I found that scene so funny. Pramis, ang cute ni Robward.

Never Think (Rob Pattinson) = The mumbling song was played during the restaurant scene in Port Angeles. Habang lumalafang ng Mushroom Ravioli si Bella. Which reminds me, I’m quite disappointed that they didn’t use the “Do I dazzle you?” “Frequently” exchange in the movie. Hmpft. Yan ang incoherent. Ang pagkanta ni Rob. Sabi nga ni Jim, may pangil daw si Rob nung kinanta niya to. Hihihi! I think I heard another song of Rob during the movie. Hindi lang ako sure, but I think it was while he was sucking the venom out of Bella.

Flightless Bird, American Mouth (Iron and Wine) = My 2^nd favorite track from the OST was played while Edward and Bella were dancing in the pagoda/gazebo. KILEGS!! According to the Movie Companion, Kristen Stewart personally picked this track to be played during the prom scene. Good choice huh! =) Kakaibang titigan nanaman ang naganap. And I almost died of kakiligan.

Bella’s Lullaby (Carter Burwell) – Was played in several parts of the movie. I can’t really recount them all. Pero madalas. How talented of Rob to actually play the song on the piano himself huh.

I really need to watch this movie again. For Carlisle! Joke. Hehe J Hay. As Tin would put it… “Bon, we survived Twilight.” Finally, FINALLY we were able to watch the movie. Sa wakas.

I still prefer to read and experience all the kakiligans in the book, though. I have to admit, that right after the movie ended, I was a bit disappointed. Ang dami ko kasing hinanap na scenes, ang dami kong pinansin na pagbabago. But when I got home, I got to think about it a lot. The happy parts of the movie, the good parts of the book… after giving it much thought… I realized that the movie was OKAY. Not great, and not bad, either. But OKAY. As they always say, the book is and always will be better than any movie interpretation. But that doesn’t mean I’m not gonna watch Twilight again. And again. And again. And again…. Pramis. Minimum of 3 times ito. :P

If you die, Edward would kill himself cause life without you isn’t worth living.

“Well, I wasn’t going to live without you..” He rolled his eyes as if that fact were childishly obvious. “..but I wasn’t sure how to do it. I knew Emmet and Jasper would never help so I was thinking maybe I would go to Italy and do something to provoke the Volturi.”

As you leave the house, a normal guy would say: “Bye, see ya!”
As you leave the house Edward Cullen would say: “Come back to me, love.”

He smiled my favorite smile. “Hurry back to me.”
“Always.”

As you come back to the house, a normal guy would be watching TV and wouldn’t even notice.
As you come back to the house, Edward Cullen would be welcoming you by playing the piano with a song just for you.

“I heard the music before I was out of the car. Edward hadn’t touched his piano since the night Alice left. Now, as I shut the door, I heard the song morph through a bridge and change into my lullaby. Edward was welcoming me home.’

A normal guy would wait for you to make him breakfast.
Edward Cullen would make you breakfast everyday.

While you are both out for dinner, a normal guy wouldn’t keep his eyes off the sexy waitress.
Edward Cullen wouldn’t even notice the waitress was a female.

A normal guy, while driving, would keep one hand on the wheel and one hand on the radio.
Edward Cullen, while driving, would keep one hand on the wheel and the other attached to yours.

While far apart in different places, a normal guy would say: “I miss you.”
